Wig Tips & Care

Keep your MK Luxury unit flawless, silky and long-lasting — with simple, salon-level maintenance.


Before You Wear (First-Time Prep)

  • Gently shake the unit and finger-comb from ends upwards.
  • Secure lace on a wig head for 10–15 mins to “settle” the parting.
  • Optional: add light hot-comb at the root (low–medium heat) for a flatter finish.
  • Use a pea-sized amount of serum on the mid-lengths/ends only (never on lace/roots).

 

 Daily Care (2 minutes)

  • Wrap hair at night with a silk scarf or place in your MK silk pouch.
  • Avoid heavy oils/grease — they weigh Vietnamese hair down and cause build-up.
  • Brush only when needed (wide-tooth comb or paddle brush).

 

Washing Schedule

  • Every 10–15 wears (or sooner if you use lots of products).
  • Body wave: wash less often to maintain the pattern.


Washing Steps 

  1. Detangle ends → mid → roots.
  2. Lukewarm water + sulfate-free shampoo (1–2 lathers).
  3. Conditioner on mid-lengths/ends only.
  4. Rinse, towel press (don’t rub).
  5. Air-dry on a wig stand.
  6. Finish with heat protectant + light blow-dry/press if desired.

 

Heat Styling Rules

  • Always use heat protectant.
  • Straight styles: low–medium heat, 1–2 passes max.
  • Body wave: use a large barrel/curl wand to refresh (don’t over-curl).

 

“Keep It Luxury” Do’s & Don’ts 

Do

  • Use silk/satin storage nightly
  • Use lightweight serum (ends only)
  • Use a wig grip or secure method that protects edges
  • Clean lace gently with a damp cloth/cotton pad

Don’t

  • Don’t apply oils to the lace or knots
  • Don’t sleep in it loose
  • Don’t use alcohol-heavy sprays directly on lace
  • Don’t brush wet curls aggressively

 

Lace & Melt Tips

HD Lace Tip:

For the most “skin-like” finish, tint your lace (if needed), secure with a thin layer of lace adhesive/gel, and set with a cool blow-dry. Less product = more invisible.

Pre-plucked Hairline Tip:

Avoid over-tweezing. Use small baby-hair sections only if you love that look — the best luxury installs look clean and effortless.

 

Storage & Travel 

  • Store on a wig head for shape or fold gently and place in your MK silk pouch.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight/heat to preserve colour and softness.
  • For travel: satin-lined box/pouch only (no plastic bags).

 

Troubleshooting

My wig feels dry.

Deep condition for 10–15 minutes, rinse well, add a tiny amount of serum to ends.

My body wave dropped.

Refresh with a large barrel curl, brush lightly, and let it cool fully before touching.

The lace looks visible.

Use lace tint, reduce product at the hairline, and match your melt spray to your tone.
